Mary Ollie Cantrell Robinson, age 84, of Bremen, Georgia, formerly of Carrollton, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011. She was born on February 17, 1927 in Haralson County, GA to James Perry Cantrell and Sarah Mary Alice Whitaker Cantrell. While still a teenager and working at Sewell Mfg. Co. she met the love of her life, Arvel Dewey Robinson. The courtship was interrupted by Dewey's military service during World War II. They were married December 20, 1947 shortly after he returned from service. Their lives together would change when he was called to the ministry in 1954. From 1954 until his death in 2007 they served the Lord together. During that time she was involved in all aspects of church life including WMU, Vacation Bible School, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Her interest outside church centered around her family and her 3 daughters. Later the joy she felt as a mother was multiplied when her daughters gave her 5 grandchildren. As a homemaker she took great pride in being a meticulous housekeeper, and truly enjoyed cooking and decorating her family's home. She enjoyed the several occasions she had to travel to Hawaii and the Holy Land with her husband, on the trips he led. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, four grandchildren and their spouses, one sister and brother-in-law, one great-grandson, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service held May 16 at the Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Harris, Rev. Ricky Shadrix and Dr. Jimmy Gentry officiating. Music directed by Rev. Alan Schantz. Pallbearers are Dawson Richards, Jeff Mayo, Jay Whiten, Steve Thompson, John Milo and Tom Defreitas. Interment in Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery. Martin-Hightower Heritage Chapel, Carrollton in charge of arrangements.
