RUTH BRYANT CARROLL, 79 of Shoal Creek Community, Lavonia, wife of Preston Carroll, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1993 at Toccoa Nursing Center.
Born in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Mannie Lee and Lollie Sue Taylor Bryant. She formerly lived in Doraville and Hart County, was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and owned and operated Lavonia Paint & Supply store.
Surviving are her husband; daughters, Bonnie McFarlin of Carnesville, Linda Kelley of Lawrenceville and Betty Williams of Austin, TX; son, George Carroll of Norcross; sisters, Mary Jo Roberts of Red Hill, Jewell Keller and Jessie Canady of Toccoa; brothers, James Ralph Bryant of Sharpsburg and Nelson Bryant of Sandy Cross; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 pm Wednesday, December 1, at Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home by Rev. Ronald Hinson. A graveside service was held in Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Rev. Charles Goldsmith.
