Daughter of Mike Sylvester & Mary Alma Jordan Powers
Irene Altha Powers, 84, of Bagwell Nursing Home, formerly of the Farmer High Community, died Oct. 31, 1991.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1907, daughter of the late M. S. and Mary Alma Jordan Powers. She was a homemaker and had lived in Carroll County all her life.
Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Roy and Mary Lou Grainger and Roy and Bonnie Wilson, all of Carrollton.
Services will be conducted today, at 2 p.m., at the Lee's Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. John Whitley officiating. Music will be by Newt and Louise Holmes. Interment in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Jackson, Ronald Holcombe, Durwood Patterson, Steve Patterson, Jerry Powers, and Kermit Powers.
Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton in charge of arrangements.
